There Will Be Words produces a somewhat quarterly reading series called Saturday Night Special which combines prose and poets and a sporadic poetry slam called There Will Be Verse. We are looking for writers and poets to be featured at these events.

What I can submit?

Three to five poems or fiction and non-fiction between 1000-1500 words. Your piece may previously be published elsewhere.

Awesomeness. To get an idea what we like, check out the videos from all of our other shows.  

What happens if my work gets accepted?

You must be able to appear at the date you were selected for and read in front of an audience. You are expected to promote the show and get as many people through the door as possible. We will pay you for your time (at least $25, more if we get a good audience). We may consider a virtual performance if your work is exceptional, but you will be compensated less ($10).
